Headlight Lens Replacement Guide

Tools: Phillips screwdriver, Needle nose pliers, 11 mm deep socket, ½ in open-end wrench 90 degree bent long-nose pliers.

Remove negative battery terminals from both batteries using a ½ in open end wrench.

Remove the positive battery terminal from the side that the replacement headlight will go on. Remove the battery from the engine bay.

Remove two Phillips screws on the top of the headlight trim.

Remove two 11 mm nuts from the backside of the headlight. These can be accessed with a deep socket through the holes shown in the image. This will release all the lights and the trim, except for the headlight. Disconnect all lightbulbs from the assembly before completely removing it.

There are 3 clips in the locations shown in the image. Using a screwdriver, push on the wings of the clips so that they can be removed.

Remove the top two clips with needle nose pliers and remove the lower clip with 90 degree bent long nose pliers. Remove the headlight lens, make sure to disconnect the bulb before removing entirely.

Place the new lens with the clip receptacles in the same 3 holes that the clips were removed from. Reinstall the clips by sliding them into the gaps and using pliers to make sure they are seated.

Dry fit the trim and light assembly and adjust the new lens so that it lines up with the trim and other lights.

Place the trim and light assembly and reattach the wires to each lightbulb.

Add the two 11 mm nuts to the back of the assembly, tighten until they are snug.

Screw the two Phillips screws into their holes in the top of the trim.

Reinstall the battery and connect both negative terminals.
